What the journal actually does
- A rank advances only when every quiz in that level is finished once, at any score. Reading an essay does not move it.
- An essay is marked Read at the last line. Leaving at the halfway point leaves it unmarked.
- Diamond Timeline keeps the active era at the top, with arrows and a jump to the first or last period.
- Clear History returns the first rank and wipes quiz passes only. Name, photo, and favorite cut stay.
